Can HGH therapy work for treatment of secondary amenorrhea?
have had amenorrhea(lack of period) for about a year and a half. I have read that HGH (human growth hormone) treatments can help with a wide variety of health issues ie. high blood pressure, bone density, menstrual cycles, hair skin and nails. I was wondering if anyone new a little more first hand about the possibility of using HGH as a treatment.

I wouldn’t recommend self medicating for something as serious as this. Have you been diagnosed with a reason for why you are having amenorrhea? It can be a variety of reasons, and it’s dangerous to treat yourself with hormones if you don’t know what the cause is. Hormones in your body are in a delicate balance, and any alteration can lead to a variety of effects. Amenorrhea may only be the beginning. Please go see a doctor to get this checked out before it gets more serious. Good luck.

You get taller but you look like Barry Bonds.

Each dose costs thousands of dollars. And the older the teen the less you grow,

How can I convince my doctor to let me get HGH therapy?
I am a 17 year old boy, really short. I really want to get HGH therapy, because I know there is hope it can increase my height. I need a really good reason to convince my doctor to get me the therapy, what should I say? I know just telling him I want to grow a few inches isn’t going to do it, so what is the best excuse? Please help, I’m in desperate need.

Wait it out dude, boys don’t stop growing until they are 25, you have a ways to go. Girls finish by 18 but not boys!

How many days or weeks does Testosterone Replacement Therapy usually take on average?
I am getting a testosterone level blood test to see if I will need to get it done. I wanted to know how many days or weeks that this procedure usually takes.

Best answer:

Answer by Christopher G
It should only take a few days to get the results. Be sure to test other hormone levels as well such as T3 (thyroid) and especially FSH (follicle stimulating hormone, which helps tell your testes to produce testosterone). The therapy? You may need it for a few months, or you may be on it for life depending on the cause of your low testosterone.

If you are trying to get your partner pregnant, stay away from testosterone replacements. They will diminish your sperm count to almost zero. Instead, you will need FSH.

Good luck.

Boys sometimes have a growth spurt after age 17.

What’s wrong with being short, anyway? Does it make you fell less than other people?

If one or both of your parents are short, then it’s just in your DNA … it’s not something that needs to be “fixed.” It’s who you are.

How to reduce fluid retention while on testosterone replacement therapy?
Is it normal for someone taking testosterone to have a puffy face? I just feel bloated. However, my body and mind feels much better now that I have raised my T levels to normal. I have become more fit but when I took a picture recently, i notice that my face looks fatter than before when I was 25 lbs heavier and not on testosterone.

Help!!

I’ve taken testosterone injections for many years and have known many other men who have and are taking it but I never heard of anyone having a puffy face from the testosterone. If you are concerned about it you should probably have a blood test done to see if there is another problem. Taking testosterone can increase cholesterol levels and probably triglycerides also but having a puffy face sounds more like some kind of a circulation problem.

It is a demand of our society to have smooth and clear complexion which is is an attribute of physical attractiveness. People nowadays are prone to fashion and fitness and like to maintain their healthy regimes.

HGH is Human Growth Hormone. The important function of this hormone is to stimulate growth by cell reproduction.HGH has an important role in a child’s growth process and for maintaining proper metabolism in adult human beings.
For adults, this therapy is carried out in three ways: using HGH injection, using oral sprays or using natural herbal HGH releasers.

In general there is no such side effects of this therapy. But its overdose can cause problems like
1. Gynecomastia (enlarged breasts in males)
2. Acromegaly
3. water retention and carpal tunnel syndrome, etc.
