What is the difference between a MLB player using HGH to heal faster vs. a Cortizone shot to get back fater?
There seems to be a double standard here regarding the use of these two substances? They both seem to be means towards the same end, so why is one banned (HGH) and the other allowed (Cortizone)?

Cortisone is used to suppress inflammation, it is not anabolic in any way like growth hormone is.

HGH actually improves athletic performance (along with a lot of other lovely side-effects). Cortisone, like the first guy said, is used to stop inflamation. Even then, the effects are temporary. When someone uses HGH, the effect on the body is irreperable.

The press’ disgust at HGH as performance enhancing when it truly isn’t. It helps you heal. Cortisone is a steroid just like the others. Performance enhancing just like the others, but they dont argue with that. Anabollic steroids are the perceived “cheat” when they all do something to help. Even if it’s an OTC supplement.

HGH is an illegal drug, just like heroin or coke. Start to think about it in that way. HGH can kill you, cortisone won’t.

A cheat is a cheat. HGH is banned…period. No excuses.
